One of the primary goals of the Youth Investment Program is to help professionals in the field make connections and build up their networks of people, programs and organizations that connect youth to the outdoors. Regional convenings are designed to help local providers get to know one another and to build technical capacity. We want to help create regional hubs where local providers, educators, youth development workers—anyone who is connecting youth to the outdoors—can convene to talk about their programs and efforts with colleagues who are using the outdoors as a way to develop healthy youth. While the Stewardship Council is committed to supporting these efforts, it is important to understand that these meetings are for you, the folks in the field. That is why the convenings are created and run by local volunteers.
