Roundhouse Council

We take a holistic approach to fostering a healthy community, by strategically developing programs that build mental, physical, social, cultural, and economic health. Our educational activities begin with 0-5 year olds and include middle-aged community members and elders. Our elementary and secondary educational programs begin with engaging family members, to ensure that activities fit community priorities. In 2005, we initiated a program to provide drug and alcohol services in Indian Valley, and came up with culturally appropriate treatment and prevention based on surveys and needs assessments. We offer an array of services not found elsewhere in our area: the only computer lab in Indian Valley, K-12 after school tutoring, adult education, online classes, and workshops in traditional Maidu dance, basketry, and language.
