Playing and Learning in Adaptable Environments

Pogo Park is an entrepreneurial, grassroots, community-based organization in Richmond, CA. Our mission is to transform lives by transforming public space. We transform inner-city parks and playgrounds into enriched, natural, outdoor play spaces.

Our pilot project is the renovation of Elm Playlot in the heart of Richmond’s Iron Triangle, one of the most dangerous, disenfranchised, and impoverished neighborhoods in all of California.

We aim to create a sustainable and replicable model that shapes the way that parks and playgrounds are designed, built, and operated in innercity neighborhoods.
