Mid Klamath Watershed Council

The Klamath Youth Stewardship Program aims to inspire the next generation of local resource professionals by involving underserved youth in hands-on restoration, monitoring and community development projects.  Engagement in stewardship roles and mentoring with local resource professionals and community leaders will encourage youth to make positive contributions towards the revitalization of their watershed and community.

  • 2011 Infrastructure Fund

    Mid Klamath Watershed Council was awarded $18,000 for their Outdoor Park and Educational Facility project. This project will build an outdoor learning, meeting and performance space located on a riverside lot along the Klamath River in Orleans, California. This project will consist of a covered outdoor stage and tiered outdoor seating for about 100 people. Plus, the site will be carefully graded to preserve the natural setting and will be landscaped with native plants.

  • 2009 Impact Fund

    $19,000 towards 55 underserved 15-18 year old youth to involve in watershed management and habitat restoration along the Mid Klamath Watershed. Students will gain a sense of ownership and a strong relationship to the watershed as they work on projects that enhance their community health, and culture.
