Feather River Land Trust

The Feather River Land Trust was started in 2000 by a group of volunteer citizens who were concerned about the changes they were seeing in the Feather River Region. FRLT’s action area is the 2.4-million-acre Feather River Watershed, the largest watershed in the Sierra Nevada and a source of water to more than 20 million Californians. The Feather River Watershed is located in the northern Sierra Nevada (Plumas, Sierra, Lassen, and Butte Counties) at the head of the California State Water Project. FRLT has 4.5 professional staff members, over 100 volunteers, a membership of 650 individuals, and an operating budget (2006/2007) of $300,000.
