Girls Outside! (GO!) is an outdoor leadership education program for underserved middle school and high school girls to learn how to plan and lead backpacking trips.  Designed to support girls who are victims of violence and are at high-risk of sexual exploitation, GO! provide a safe, supportive, and challenging learning environment that yields transformative results for girls.

  • 2011 Infrastructure Fund

    East Bay Asian Youth Center was awarded $200,000 for their work with the Oakland Schoolyard Initiative which seeks to transform two large, hazardous, and grossly under-utilized asphalt schoolyards at Sankofa Academy in North Oakland and Sobrante Park Elementary School in East Oakland into safe, accessible, and usable outdoor playgrounds for children, youth, and families.
