City of Fort Bragg

Fort Bragg is a general law city under California State Law and operates under the Council-Manager form of government.  The City provides services to its residents including public protection through the Police Department and Fire JPA; the construction and maintenance of streets, parks and infrastructure, sewer/water service, community development, financial management and administrative service.  The population of the City is approximately 7,000, but as the largest metropolitan area on the Mendocino County Coast, Fort Bragg is the service center for a coastal region population of approximately 20,000 residents. In addition, Fort Bragg is a highly popular tourist and recreation destination for travelers world-wide.

  • 2010 Infrastructure Fund

    City of Fort Bragg was awarded $155,000 for their Fort Bragg Community Skate Park in the City of Fort Bragg, in partnership with Mendocino Coast Recreation & Park District (MCRPD). The Community Skate Park will provide a much needed safe and appropriate alternative for youth of Fort Bragg to get outside and support physical fitness.
