Central California Consortium of the US Forest Service

The Generation Green Youth Stewardship Program will select 16 diverse youth (15-18 years) from urban and rural areas to complete summer stewardship internships (320 hours), where they will work to improve public land (will work and visit forest lands every day), gain ownership, and will be exposed to natural resource careers.  The program will create 16 young land stewards who will gain valuable work experience, environmental education, and mentors encouraging them to pursue higher education.

    Generation Green Youth Stewardship Program

    was awarded $35,000 towards the Generation Green Youth Stewardship Program. This program selects diverse youth from urban and rural areas to complete a summer internship program to improve public lands, learn about natural resource careers, and gain valuable work experience in the forestry field.

  • 2009 Impact Fund

    $45,000 toward the Central California Consortium, an environmental education, outreach, and employment program that provides diverse youth form urban and rural areas with paid internships. This program encourages youth to seek higher education, develop careers in natural resources, and become stewards of the land.

  • 2007 Impact Fund
    Generation Green Youth Stewardship Program

    $35,000 towards The Generation Green Youth Stewardship Program, which will select 12 diverse youth from urban and rural areas to complete summer stewardship internships (320 hours) and training such as resume writing, ethics and conduct, access to higher education, and time management. The goal is to create 12 young stewards who will educate their communities on caring for the land, providing mentors for students and a valuable work experience.

  • 2006 Midsize Fund

    $40,000 grant to implement a leadership, environmental restoration and educational program for underserved youth within Fresno County.
