“Mommy & Me” will introduce an outdoor walking, fitness and adventure component to existing programs.  We propose to take teen moms and their infant/toddler on monthly outdoor excursions to expose them to nature, the outdoors, physical exercise, fresh air and most importantly maternal-child bonding time.  Amigas SWIM will provide a safe, durable stroller, gently used outdoor hiking apparel and shoes for mommy and baby, water, healthy snacks, lunch,and transportation to designated outdoor walking nature trails.  Unlike other outdoor youth programs they will not have to leave their baby behind!
